About

Hello, I’m Leslie!

I’m so glad you’re here! I am a licensed professional counselor, foster mom, proud police wife, mom to three adorable fur babies, and a sweet tea addict!

My husband, Matt, and I live in Missouri with our two boys and three dogs. I have been a counselor for 6 years. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, family counseling, and marital counseling. I am so blessed to get to walk alongside people in their journey, even if it is just for a short time. I have also experienced the healing power of the Holy Spirit through counseling in my own life and I consider it an honor to get to witness that type of healing in the lives of others.

Matt and I have been licensed foster parents for about two years now. We have had our oldest, Ethan, who is 15, almost the entire time we have been licensed. Ethan came to our home from a residential facility. We were his 20+ placement in the 5 years he has been in foster care.

About 4 months after Ethan moved in with us, his younger brother, Brayden, who is 13, transitioned to our home from another foster placement. The boys had been separated for several years due to Ethan’s need for additional services because of his behaviors. Long story short, it’s been a crazy ride the past two years raising two teenagers with trauma! But we have grown, became stronger, and learned a lot along the way. Now we are just eagerly waiting for our adoption date!

If you are a fellow police wife/girlfriend, then I am sure we have a ton in common! It can be a challenge working schedules around our LEO’s shifts. There are times when I have to adapt to being a solo parent, celebrate holidays without my best friend, or go to bed alone. Being a police wife means I make sacrifices all year long. It is also a portion of my life that I would not trade for the world. I am proud of my husband for his courage, his love for people, and the way he lives out his calling. I am a proud police wife.
